The sniper dude coming out of the patrol car is a friend on Dallas SRT. He won the sniper competition, including a $6,000 sniper rifle. Ex-Marine sniper.
Family member on Dallas team. They are the true alphadogs.
Have a couple of friends on DOE. Nine of the ten are ex-SEALs. The other guy is Delta.
The guys that won the competition were from Bruce Power—a Canadian utility company–nuclear power emergency response team. All those dudes do is train and workout. But when/if the shit hits the fan, they have to be perfect.

And yes, pretty much nothing goes down in Marin County, so his SWAT duty was relatively incident free, hence his rotation out to other things.
Johny Taliban was from Marin, though.
