I know. It’s sickening how easy it is. Some tricks are easy, some beyond complex. My goal is to learn the games and recognize them quicker…instead of after countless hours of scouring.
the problem is, that in order to scour, you need an agenda.
I find it’s hard to jump into a 10-k w/o a bias bc usually what brought me to the filing in the first place is a bullish chart or one day move.
it cracks me up that some people think a 7 pe is “cheap.”

the vast majority of “growth” stocks with an under 10 “pe” have “earnings” that are about to/have/are continuing to explode.
also worth discussing is how easy it is to manipulate EPS

Hot MILFs in furry boots appeal to the barbarian in me, especially when they’re holding shish ka-bobs.
May 29th, 2008 at 4:27 pmoh yeah. agreed. the notes ought to be read first.
every bs interparty transaction or weird “we gave the ceo 5,000,000 for jet travel last year”is in the notes.
accounting assumptions, and one of my favorites hiding the possible material changes pending due to acct rule change.
I still like it…it’s like being a detective.
May 29th, 2008 at 4:29 pmYou find out a lot about a company from the notes, no doubt.
