You probably saw it yesterday, but Canaccord raised it’s price target on POT to a street high C$425.

July 10th, 2008 at 1:37 pmPOT will live up to your moniker.
July 10th, 2008 at 1:47 pmQCOM marches on…the Aug 50 calls are up 50% today.
July 10th, 2008 at 1:51 pmNice call on QCOM, kiddo.
July 10th, 2008 at 1:52 pmAD …. still learning to read the charts, that said, looks to me like mucho bear flags on the coal stocks … behold:
ACI
ICO
MEE
KOL
WLB
ANR
BTU?
Am I wrong?
July 10th, 2008 at 2:51 pm8–
You’re right.
ACI has more downside, imo.
BTU looking particularly weak.
Others on your list might be ok. Wouldn’t short.
July 10th, 2008 at 4:14 pmJust caught your reply …. thanks!
Forgot to mention CNX … grabbed a few puts on that one since downside looks to be 80 but the 100 day held at 87.50 today … we’ll see.
July 10th, 2008 at 4:46 pm8-
Did you see the shakeout?
It broke support at $90, but then put in a huge reversal off the $86 intraday low to close at $95.
If you’re an investor, fundamentally, coal should continue to do well. Global industrialization probably didn’t end on June 19th.
July 10th, 2008 at 4:57 pmBarak Obama will allow coal for nutritional purposes only, after the corn being used for ethanol production runs out and folks start getting a tetch “toothy.”
____
July 10th, 2008 at 6:13 pmYeah but its still below the 50 so I’m counting on a retest of today’s intraday low …. call it the “E8 bottom in coal” … haha!
July 10th, 2008 at 6:29 pmCNX to 99 and it’s probably off to the races again.
If it doesn’t get below 88 tomorrow, and closes at 91 or higher, better close out those puts or short positions.
July 10th, 2008 at 6:40 pmAD, puts in the green and sold at a nice profit today with CNX down 8 1/2 to $82 now … got lucky on this one!
