All-Star Game Tickets…Inflationary!

A box seat ticket for tonight’s game at Yankee Stadium, third base side, went for $14,500 on Stub Hub.

A $150 upper deck seat went for $3,000.

No thanks. I’d rather watch it on TV, while throwing popcorn and yelling obscenities at A-Rod, much to his lack of knowledge.

On a gleeful note, seven Red Sox players made the American League All-Star team. Or, more than the Yankees.

AD- I’ve been stewing about this for months now. When did the entertainment $$$ get so out of hand. I had a buddy take his wife and 2 kids to San Antonio for NCAA B-BAll 4 day weekend…he dropped 10 grand…. 2 Tix to see Tom Petty $250….2 Tix for a Chiefs NFL game $200 not including parking and all the egregious bullshit inside. I know I’m old but none of this shit is worth over $50 a bucks throw. Fuck A-Rod- Fuck Madonna(no thanks)- Fuck Man Ram- and Fuck Bret Favre[sic].

Another thought…why do I feel like every time I fill my tank up I should get a Toy ala a Happy Meal or an electronic gadget..$75-$100 cmon give me an action figure or a transistor radio… something!!

    Thanks I feel better.

the all star game is such a sham. all these corporate blowhards fill their comped seats; meanwhile all the kids (who actually care about the game and the players) of season ticket holders sit home and watch on tv. that’s almost as heinous as a 35-yr-old man shoving a kid out of the way to catch a foul ball.

I remember going to a Red Sox / Yankees game at Fenway, and my dad paid $18 per ticket for decent 3rd base side seats.
