BEER OF THE DAY: Lagunitas IPA

by Danny on December 10th, 2007 at 1:33:43 pm

Lagunitas IPA is today’s BEER OF THE DAY.

PS:  Threw a small hedge on, just in case.

PPS: Notice the DLB cup.  Coincidence?  No.

    That looks nasty.

  2. The Fly Says:

That beer makes your balls grow.

  3. Danny Says:

Fly is correct, as per usual.

  4. The Fly Says:

That beer sells for circa $2.93. Grossly overvalued.

  5. Danny Says:

not where I buy it. $7.50 per sixer at savon. For reasons inexplicable, the savon in PB, last place you’d ever think to buy beer, has a good microbrew selection.

  6. DPeezy Says:

    “Unlimited release”. LOL!

I’ve not had this one, even though I see them in all the stores around here. Not a huge fan of IPA…although Libery Ale (Anchor Brewing Co.) is pretty good.

D — my little bro, who lives in Carlsbad, has been raving to me about this stuff.

Can’t get it out here in “Fly”-over country yet, though.

I’ll talk to my guy. If he wants a “nice Christmas” he’ll hook me, even if it’s a loss leader.

  8. JakeGint Says:

    That’s a nice color.

    The more orange, the better.

    (For everything but websites)

  9. JakeGint Says:

    Dpeas -

Anchor Steam is not pale ale.

Bell’s Two Hearted, if you’re manly enough.

  10. Bluedog Says:

Lagunitas is good, but Stone IPA is better. Try it!!

  11. JakeGint Says:

    Tried Stone, good.

Not as good as Bell’s though.

  12. Danny Says:

stone is good, lagunitas is better. the one I have up next is better than lagunitas.

  13. DPeezy Says:

Anchor Steam is indeed not a pale ale.
Liberty Ale is a beer brewed by Anchor Brewing, although I guess ‘technically’ it’s an American Pale Ale. The only real difference is that it uses ‘American’ hops.

My ‘true’ IPA pick is the Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale (winter seasonal). Definitely the choice of beer with those spicy BWLD wings.

  14. Danny Says:

I haven’t had that one. I like regular ol’ fashioned anchor steam as well

  15. mdawsz Says:

This is what God wanted beer to look like.

  16. Dinosaur Trader Says:

    mdawsz,

    Your God is namby pamby.

  17. DPeezy Says:

Stella is another excellent choice. Perhaps Danny should replace his main webpage picture with the one from mdawsz’s link. The aluminum can just doesn’t flatter the beer.

Every time somebody says namby pamby, I think William Shatner. Odd, no?

  18. Danny Says:

    stella is bomb

  19. JakeGint Says:

Stella’s okay for a lager. But gimme ales, rich and hoppy and orange, over that yeller stuff.
