Danny (1) vs. MRSA (0)

by Danny on March 12th, 2008 at 11:21:06 am

I win.

Apparently, (CPHD: 13.89 -0.71%)’s fancy, expensive MRSA test machine…doesn’t beat a petri dish test.

On Tuesday, the Journal of the American Medical Association published a study that said screening of patients for MRSA did not reduce the number of hospital-acquired infections. The study was conducted over a two-year period in a Swiss teaching hospital.

This one I am going to gloat about, maybe for months. This is my second major victory this week. (The other was airborne, which I staunchly opposed and talked shit on for years. Don’t get me started)

Am I gloating over the possible decimation of Shed’s SOTY? Absolutely not. Fuck you for thinking that.  Considering I’ve never met Shed, I would shank a skank in her heart if the man asked, because I have his back.  Bro’s before hoes is the mantra, especially for business partners. Making fun of Shed is something I do often, but it is not my M.O. today.

Anyway, I have long held that MRSA was a joke. Why? Why not believe the media, and movies? Because if you ask any doctor, you’d know that it was all jam sandwiches from the get-go.

I had much fewer readers when I penned this magnificent article, which is my opinion on why MRSA testing is not a great business plan and why CPHD’s tester may very well suck undercarriage. Probably worth another read.
