The Credit Card Guillotine Decouples Bears in Asia
Well, you bearshitters can moan and groan all you want; but the credit card guillotine is about to cut your fucking head off.
On the back of better-than-expected holiday sales, so far, Asian markets are sprinting at the open, with Seoul leading the pack, +2.6%.
My sense, barring another “shoe dropping,” U.S. markets will also decouple the heads of short sellers, in early trading, despite the subprime fodder.
Look for retail stocks to lead the way, with squeezes in M, KSS, JCP, AMZN, JCG, AEO, RL and GES.
UPDATE: Seoul now up 4.65%. Fuck you shorts, you’re dead.

Santa Claus is coming to town but not for the infidel non-believer!
November 25th, 2007 at 9:12 pmI am moving my operations to China.
November 25th, 2007 at 9:50 pmHere I was almost sympathetic that “the Fry” was moping around for the past 2 weeks as his Longs where getting cut in half.
Now you bring this post about getting my f’ing head cut off? Come on, you know this is a sucker rally. I suggest you sell into this strength and join the dark side for the next leg down.
Once the retailers report their numbers we will see the truth. Do you think anyone in Asia knows that while sales might be up but no one is buying anything that might have had decent margins?
November 25th, 2007 at 10:23 pmChad, not literally. Your head and neck will indeed be intact come tomorrow.
However, there will be some that are not prepared for a bounce, or sucker’s rally, and they will certainly feel as if they are getting beheaded.
Fly, I finished my post in humble response to your bullshitterness.
November 25th, 2007 at 10:29 pmHmm… I don’t think it’s good to be labeled a bullshiter.
November 25th, 2007 at 10:48 pmMichelle Malkin is hot!
November 25th, 2007 at 10:52 pmFly,
November 25th, 2007 at 10:54 pmRegarding MVIS, Do you have any info on who is the partner in oct. PR?
Thanks.
That FXP is gonna hurt a bit.
November 25th, 2007 at 10:56 pmThe FXP will not hurt.
I repeat: the FXP will not hurt, as it represents .00001 of my holdings.
I will close it out, if warranted, first thing.
November 25th, 2007 at 10:58 pmJCG is my biggest position at 37.93. Sure hope it runs hard tomorrow. I have been betting big on the consumer.
November 25th, 2007 at 11:04 pmTraded some 6476.HK on the obvious.
Hong Kong hasn’t been such a queer market since 1997. The H-shares alone are set to close the day +1000 points.
November 25th, 2007 at 11:27 pmConsumer credit?
That’s one damn dull blade.
It will hurt like the dickens and leave a mark, but the bears will recover before too long.
Consumer spending, even if it could be sustained, can’t fix what is broken.
November 25th, 2007 at 11:29 pmHello, the FLY:
Another Seeking Alpha article. You like it?
I am getting the whole world to start talking about tellurium and FSLR, isn’t it wonderful? Interested in hoarding tellurium yet? I can sell you half a pound if you want
November 25th, 2007 at 11:34 pmJJ: I have two pounds of turds to sell you, they include special gold pellets similar to Thanksgiving canned corn. Interested?
Broker: Looks like Cyber Monday is going to make a good impact this year as well. I will let you know what impact I am seeing from the technical side tomorrow (monitoring internet shopping traffic) which should tell me if they will be weaker or stronger than last year atleast on the browsing front.
November 25th, 2007 at 11:40 pmJJ, it is better to be wrong, than to be early.

November 26th, 2007 at 12:58 amhttp://money.cnn.com/2007/11/25/news/economy/nrf_blackfridayweekendsales/index.htm?postversion=2007112516
That is a nice bearish way to spin the news. This makes it sound like there was less retail sales on Friday than last year. But, if you run the numbers, it appears that there was about a 1.2% increase in retail sales over last year. Now, a 1.2% increase isn’t the 22% increase seen in online purchases… or is it. The 1.2% accounts for an increase of over $500 million… which is roughly the same as the dollar total of online purchases made on black friday.
The heads of the Asian bears were decoupled.
Come on, fucktard from Long Island.
November 26th, 2007 at 1:17 amIf they were going for a bearish spin they would have, at a minimum, adjusted spending numbers for inflation.
These early spending numbers are meaningless. They are affected by too many year-over-year changes that are independent of how consumers will actually spend during this holiday season.
Reporting on the early spending numbers certainly can affect market sentiment, and it is reasonable to trade on that expectation. I think it is not reasonable, however, to believe that the rough numbers from a few days of sales confirm any bullish or bearish view of holiday spending.

November 26th, 2007 at 7:39 amJJ’s tellurium shortage based short thesis on FSLR , shot to hell. Sorry parradium fucker. Go back to your hole.
http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/business/articles/1124biz-firstsolar1125.html
Company’s risks
Finding a steady supply of semiconductor material for its panels is among First Solar’s risks. One nutjob last week on the Seeking Alpha Web site suggested shorting the stock, (he has been shorting FSLR for the last 100 points up) essentially wagering the stock will lose value because First Solar won’t be able to find enough tellurium to meet its contracts. Seeking Alpha allows unverified reader-contributed articles.
The article cited another online post from Arizona State geologist M. Lee Allison, who mused in May that with tellurium rising from about $4 a pound to about $100 a pound, a rush for the obscure element was possible.
But Allison said last week his posting should not be construed to suggest there is a shortage that threatens First Solar.
“World production is only a couple hundred tons, but there is a lot more sitting in the copper being produced. It is just that nobody is recovering it,” Allison said.
Ahearn said that not only has First Solar secured a second supplier of the cadmium telluride compound, but also has found opportunities to buy tellurium from national and international sources, which it can then provide to its regular suppliers to make the compound.
“I’m feeling pretty confident about that,” Ahearn said of the company’s supply. “We’ve been working on this for several years now.”
He also said the company would not have entered its long-term contracts if officials were uncertain they could secure the material to fulfill them.

Fucktard Supreme.
You think the market is going to give a shit that retailers are discounting everything 50% off. Of course sales are up.
They’re not making anymore money though and once the sales are gone, so are the shoppers.
Enjoy.
November 26th, 2007 at 11:19 amWell it seems bullshit no longer smells like roses. Hey fly…how’s that AEO working out? My Friday SHORTS are working out great…thanks for asking. I think I’ll hold them till DOW 11.7K!!! Carry on bullshitters.
November 26th, 2007 at 11:21 amI don’t get why all the bears are feeling so confident. Seems that despite the dollar, the debt, the war, the oil, the SIV, the CDO, the credit, the crunch, the cream and the clear…they still have yet to bomb this market. Dow holding 12.8, Naz holding 2.45…
We are oversold. Any good news and we are in rally mode.
November 26th, 2007 at 11:31 amBoom, agreed.

November 26th, 2007 at 11:36 amThe market has not had two days of gains in some time. Just short. There is no downside to this. We go lower until all stocks are at .01. Then we go sideways.
November 26th, 2007 at 11:40 amConfucious was a Jap?
November 26th, 2007 at 11:41 amThe market had every excuse to rally today. Friday sales were up, asia rallied big. There were alot of reasons to rally, if just to sucker everyone. If we were going to do anything, it would have been today. The attempt was extremely weak. It just not going to happen.
It usually is not this easy, but right now it is.
November 26th, 2007 at 11:49 amThe “fade JJ” trade is working nicely today. FSLR up 9 points to $219, SWC down 14 cents.

November 26th, 2007 at 12:35 pmThe Insider: they have discovered tellurium in Saudi Arabia but to get it out they have to pump-out the oil, thus Saudi’s willingness to increase oil production per today’s news.
November 26th, 2007 at 12:46 pmWell like I said BULLSHIT STINKS! Thanks for all my gains from my 100% SHORT positions from Friday bullshitters. Pretty weak having to raise the S&P after 4pm to a few cents above the BEAR MARKET confirmation of 1406.70…THE PPT was a little late…LOL. That’s O.K.
