Milk CSCO
Forget about buying [[CSCO]]. They’re too big and cumbersome to bank serious coin off of. However, playing the smaller, niche, companies, who feed off CSCO—like small fish on a shark, can be your lottery ticket.
If demand for routers and servers are still in boom mode, there are better ways to play the growth side, other than CSCO.
Personally, I’ve always been impartial to [[EQIX]]. These guys are like the [[EBAY]] of bandwidth. Forget about [[AKAM]], [[LVLT]] or [[LLNW]]; EQIX is the shizzle.
If they could get their fucking act together, [[RACK]] is “homeless man cheap,” and would make a great acquisition target.
Also, a stock that I’ve been buying, and is well off of its highs, [[FFIV]]. They optimize the delivery of data. The stock has been beaten like an Iranian civil rights leader and looks ready to book higher.
An old [[BBY]] derivative favorite, [[NTGR]], looks good, down at these levels. Something tells me the stock is too cheap to ignore.
Finally, within the sector, the following stocks are on my watch list:
[[RVBD]], [[CRNT]], [[STAR]], [[CML]], [[ARUN]], [[CIEN]], [[CAVM]], [[GLBC]], [[EZCH]] and [[FNSR]].
Off topic NOTE: [[NILE]] beat the estimates, but guided lower yesterday. However, the stock dropped like a lead balloon (10 bucks), prior to numbers. With 60% of the shares short, I like this name for a bounce here.

This is almost like one of your blogspot “Sector Spotlight” posts.
May 7th, 2008 at 10:19 amno comment on your favourite small fish SNCR who feeds of the big shark AAPL ?
What a disaster that was!

It was also discussed in the comments section.
While it’s true, I’ve had my share of blow ups, SNCR is not one of them.

May 7th, 2008 at 11:05 amI thought airfares were out of sight and increasing daily but I just bought a RT ticket Orlando - Atlanta for $60 to watch my son play in the NCAA Regional Golf tournament next week. And it wasn’t even a 14 day in advance purchase. I just hope they (Spirit Air) don’t go out of business now. It would cost at least $175 in gas to drive the eight hour trip.
May 7th, 2008 at 11:07 amWho the fuck is buying AAPL up here. Every single day this stock goes up.. Every. Single. Day.
May 7th, 2008 at 11:11 amThat’s because the game is rigged.

May 7th, 2008 at 11:23 amEveryone needs a three ipods, 2 iphones and a high priced puter to surf the web!
May 7th, 2008 at 11:25 amPOT is only up $5 today, which is basically a down day for that stock.
I had the Level II up at the open both yesterday and today, and during the first half hour I can’t tell you how many bids for 4000 shares, 5000 shares, even 10,000 shares were shown at levels a few pennies below the market. Those bids would eventually get hit, and they’d reload. 5000 share bids is $1 million dollars of stock so it ain’t fucking day trading pikers.
POT has a plethora of fertilizer market data on its website. They’re pushing through even more price increases later this year, which means the analysts estimates have to get taken up yet again. No doubt in my mind that stock is going to $300, in very short order. They are a fucking money making machine.
May 7th, 2008 at 11:26 amFXP+POT best play these days
