Time Machine Special, Part IIby The Fly on May 14th, 2008 at 11:46 pm |
(FXP: 89.31 +2.73%) will sprint higher tomorrow, mind you. I said “sprint.”
You’re welcome.
UPDATE: For Met fans:
FIRE WILLIE NOW T-SHIRTS.

UPDATE II: The prisoner “Boomer” has been released.

right;
go fuck yourself. you have no clue where anything is going in the future. your time machine can’t afford the gas anymore. bitchhole.
just saying
May 14th, 2008 at 11:54 pmWhile hannabarbara can curse you all he wants, the important question is what is your thesis that FXP will sprint up tomorrow? My guess: The markets have not fully assessed the damage of the earthquake as casualties continue to climb (not that the markets care about human deaths), but the collapse of the infrastructure such as the 400 weakened dams which may lead to a catastrophe similar to Katrina?
May 15th, 2008 at 12:31 amYour Mother is a goat fucker.
May 15th, 2008 at 12:34 amNo sprint, so sorry.
Not even a jog, so sorry.
Perhaps a lazy stroll, albeit slightly higher, where she takes a nap & blows with American market breezes.
May 15th, 2008 at 7:41 amFreedom!
While in prison I won 4k BOOM @ 33.90. One day before Key Banc upgraded it. Sweet! Looking for $39 for a trade.
Also, sold 500 WGOV after Cramer rec’d it on his clown show, and it spiked 6% last night, went short 100 shares for fun.
+ BOOM FLS JEC FLR
Looking to fade WGOV and get a new position
May 15th, 2008 at 8:01 amWelcome back Boomer!
May 15th, 2008 at 8:12 amBoom — do you still have to wear an ankle bracelet around the house?
May 15th, 2008 at 8:44 amTime machine works, but the flex capacitor is on upside down, so the equation divides by one and it’s the inverse future….
May 15th, 2008 at 8:51 amThat means Dow is going to 30,000… not 3,000
hahaha Jake good one.
In other news, it looks like BX left a “floater” in the swimming pool this morning. Lost .97 per unit instead of a small expected profit per unit. OY.
May 15th, 2008 at 8:54 amI posted it yesterday and I’m sure a lot of you though I was nuts but how bout BBI!
May 15th, 2008 at 9:31 amfade WGOV on this Cramer pop. Its a good long term long, but this is all cramer. and BS
Short 1000 WGOV 37.55
May 15th, 2008 at 9:35 amNONSENSE! The only things that will be higher today is steel and oil. They WILL make record highs again today. Oh and Ag will sprint to the moon again. Besides, with inflation low they have plenty of room to climb.
Oh and for good measure LEH should be shorted here.
May 15th, 2008 at 9:36 amAfter a hotly contested dual with Ford Motor, “the Fly” lands his newest FC for the Detroit Office.
May 15th, 2008 at 9:44 amShort 1500 WGOV 37.71.
Fish Barrel Shoot
May 15th, 2008 at 9:53 amYou sure about that Boomer? Whats your thesis?
May 15th, 2008 at 9:55 amAs Mish has been pointing out of late, there are serious problems with the Alt-A market. Incidentally, I feel this is the next shoe to drop. And to be honest, it may make the sub-prime sublime look like walk in the park.
I just saw a bid list for a bunch of Alt-A garbage and wanted to take a look at how the underlying mortgages were performing, or better yet, not performing.
Just take a look at the screen below. I wouldn’t have any idea what number to put on this piece of trash, except one that is most likely way below where they are marked. Welcome to the Level 2 - Level 3 nightmare.

May 15th, 2008 at 10:00 amCLNE earnings may 15!!!!!
May 15th, 2008 at 10:07 amI made a dollar shorting LEH on yesterdays TMS!
mustache still intact!
May 15th, 2008 at 10:09 amThe only news is Cramer’s rec last night on mad money. Retail is chasing it. Its a low float stock, accelerating the pop.
This is not a new trading range set by Cramer.
WGOV is part of my long term play. I like them. But its hasnt been exactly a winner lately. If this was an upgrade, that would be different.
Its a cramer pop, and half if not more of these gains will be gone by tomorrow.
May 15th, 2008 at 10:10 amBOOMER: Don’t be so sure, WGOV makes wind turbines. With the giant purchase by T Boone this morning all wind will be soaring. Be careful.
May 15th, 2008 at 10:18 amPoint taken. Thx.
May 15th, 2008 at 10:19 amcan’t help but note that virtually all ag commodities look like they’re rolling over. Rice down daily limit multiple days, stock estimates up. Corn back under 6, wheat - ugly. soy - topped in march, sugar - ugly. So, tell me again what’s going to drive all the billions of new acres needed to keep POT et al afloat?
May 15th, 2008 at 10:30 amSubslime — look at the collateral documentation line — 17% “full document!!”
May 15th, 2008 at 10:32 amThis is more true than you might think.
May 15th, 2008 at 10:35 amCLNE is taking a shit
May 15th, 2008 at 10:40 amFED and DSL continuing on their merry way to an eventual “Ducati buyout” at a nickle a share.
May 15th, 2008 at 11:01 amYou were right about X not being worth $170. Its worth $176, or, perhaps more.
Bulls never feel pain, every price is a good one. Write that down.
May 15th, 2008 at 11:10 amHey Larry,
I got on the RCH train with you, but trying to figure out when to get off. I’m thinking, 11.5?
May 15th, 2008 at 11:14 amHey, WTF? I got banned? hmmm… apparently not. However, my last comment was marked as spam and deleted… it pointed to a slightly critical article about “the Fly.” Coincidence?

May 15th, 2008 at 11:21 amDT- blasphemy.
Fly On The Wall is NOT Fly On Wall Street.
And even when The Fly appears to be wrong, he’s not. Its just that the unwashed are unable to understand his rightness.
May 15th, 2008 at 11:22 amPlanting conditions finally improved the past couple of weeks, so the boys in Chicago are taking weather related profits.
Corn is still up 60% in the past year. Soybeans 75%. If the growing conditions throughout the season turn out to be anything less than ideal, they’ll both be back to new highs.
POT has gone from $30 to $200 in three years, so it’s clearly an overvalued pig. Fly says he’ll cover at $100, so that’s obviously where it’s headed. Go ahead and short it.
May 15th, 2008 at 11:24 amWoody,
I stand corrected. I will never, ever use this space to criticize “the Fly” again, even if I do so with wrong information.
I just want to take this opportunity to apologize to “the Fly”, “Zombie” for blaspheming his God, and to George Hamilton, the actor, for slightly tarnishing his image.

May 15th, 2008 at 11:29 amIts all over for the bears. They are just getting destroyed as inflation goes to zero and steel+oil go to 1,00000000. Its as easy as this, higher oil and steel cost = rich consumers.
May 15th, 2008 at 11:34 amFly –
Just clicked on the “FuckedGoogle” link in your blogroll.
Do you put any credance in that sight? (ie, should we be lining up GOOG for a short?)…
One comment jumped out at me:
In case you aren’t a SEO specialist, you might not be aware that mortgage companies accounted for nearly 60 percent of Google’s advertising revenue for the last four years. The next quarter is going to be a disaster for Google.
May 15th, 2008 at 11:40 amSold all longs including 4k BOOM at 37.6
May 15th, 2008 at 11:46 amHolding short 2k WGOV @ 37.83
DT- I hope you are joking. I was.
Criticism is good, especially when it is on target.
May 15th, 2008 at 11:52 amWoody,
Absolutely. Of course I plan to continue criticizing “the Fly” rightly or wrongly, forever, in this space.
