Get Ready for “The Deacon of Death”by The Fly on May 30th, 2008 at 9:56 am |
This is what investing is all about. What the fuck am I talking about, you query?
It’s all about waiting around for category 5 ‘canes of destruction, then banking coin off it. Naturally, your knee-jerk reaction is to be appalled by such jargon. Quite frankly, I’m beside myself writing it.
However, I will tell you, those fucking hurricanes are good times, for us New Yorkers. As you know, during hurricane season, which officially kicks off in a couple, “The Fly” is your resident meteorologist up in this bitch. Readily, I make wild predictions, backed up by weather patterns and I reference history (aka old propaganda) as a guideline to find potential “money makers.”
Just know, the Godly folks at iBC have a presence down in the “funhouse of hurricanes.” Upon danger, I will have Ragin Cajun choppered out of his local swampland and scurried along to safety, so don’t worry.
In all seriousness, as opposed to joking and offending, I am ready to start buying natural gas stocks, with great vigor. Typically, I just go long 500,000 shares of (NGAS: 5.73 +1.60%) around this time of the year. However, that company is gayer than a 3 legged statue of Liberace.
Instead, I might go with (SWN: 38.72 -0.15%), (TXCO: 12.20 +4.81%), (GLF: 50.96 +4.13%) or (GLBL: 9.21 +1.32%), amongst others.
By the way, I view the earnings miss at (JCG: 25.69 +2.84%) as a very serious hit to the retailers. JCG is best in space, run by a genius. For them to miss and warn must mean everyone is poor. Quite alarming.
Energy stocks are rebounding today, after yesterday’s panic. I am looking for a reversal in (RIG: 131.71 +0.87%). There can be 5 points to be had there, short term.
The banks are weak again. What can I say? People hate them.
Until proven wrong, I’ll stick with my long energy/short banks investment approach. However, it’s worth noting, at the present, I do not have any bank shorts, with exception to the jackasses at (FED: 12.93 +9.02%).

FLY,
Do you like FCEL going into earnings on Wednesday? WOuld you buy some here?
Also, what about VIP (breaking out??)
May 30th, 2008 at 10:03 amFCEL is gay.
VIP is communist.
Any other questions?
May 30th, 2008 at 10:03 amEgregious errors in this post, there are.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:07 amAlias: BPOE
Wood;
May 30th, 2008 at 10:17 amThank you for the BPOE info. Not only are your charts great for the common man. Your memory is great. I like this site because traders can be real and have a good time too. I don’t like the people who post things that they are better traders then the FLY etc. If they are that good they would not be on the web. May the trading GODS be with you!!!!
No tits, no typos.
DNE?
Up 9% today
May 30th, 2008 at 10:17 amNGAS trading at a discount to NAV, which is $11.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:24 amQuite frankly, I’m besides (sic) myself writing it.
Besides yourself, who else, know what ahm sayin’, ovah heah?
May 30th, 2008 at 10:26 amDawg,
NGAS is fucktarded. I’m not even sure why it’s public.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:27 amOkay, I know I’m sounding like a stopped clock, ovah heah, but I’m really almost 95% sure that the Cubes have at most another dime left in them, and then it’s “sayonara.”
That’s Japanese for “so solly.”
May 30th, 2008 at 10:29 amJake,
Au contraire….you’re working off past data. Sure their vertical drilling programs in the past were marginal at best.
But since they’ve been focusing on horizontal drilling, they have been seeing good results. They just announced that their 2nd and 3rd horizontally drilled wells are producing a 30-day average rate of over 400 Mcf / day.
They’re going to drill at least 20 more of these wells. This is the catalyst that will propel the stock higher. If we get to experience the “funhouse of hurricanes”, all the more fewel [sic] for the fire.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:33 amWishing bad bananas on Central America is bad karma, senor tropicanker.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:34 amFly I thought we were going lower today?
May 30th, 2008 at 10:44 amLets see how man negative karma points we can give Fly for his egregious errors and his wish for a Cane O Death.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:49 amNice call on the market going down today, ass wipe…
Oil is still in a bullish trend UNTIL we break $120. Caution, if you want to jump in the “Short Oil” bandwagon.
Yesterday was a great opportunity to buy steel stocks on the dip; it’s like what the Fly said, “why fight the fucking train?”
I might buy some UBS for the long-term; Anybody doing due diligence for long-term opportunities? I’m telling you, car-makers are going to be money in the future.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:53 amTXCO looks good here, imo. Big short position to boot.
Fly, any other drillers u like besides RIG?
Monday is 1st of month inflow bullshit rally day. Prolly we go up so don’t lay out all your shorts here. Wait some for Monday.
Also, my retail contact tells me KSS had a poor memorial day & they’re sucking wind in general. Looks like a short to me.
May 30th, 2008 at 10:56 amNAT GAS??
BUY PETROHAWK (HK)
… FLOYD is the MAN!
May 30th, 2008 at 11:02 amDawg,
They are a bunch of accountants who started the company as a tax play. Caution.

Wood,
Only communists are into the neg karma. Note how anything that whacks commies get negged? Bitterness festers upon itself and is released only in passive aggressive behavioir. Such is the lot of the beta male commie.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:03 amMark my words:
We will end down today.
If not, I’ll give Woodshedder headline power for Monday.
How egregious would that be?
That would ruin the site forever.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:04 amHey, I love communism.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:05 amI love the idea of purchasing natty here, I just don’t like the setups. Take a look at my favorite natty company, CHK on a two year daily chart. It’s busted through it’s uptrend to the downside and is just now wicking the trend line from below again. It’s no coincidence (in my mind, at least) that this attempt at re-penetrating the uptrend line is concommitant with the formation of what looks to be the right shoulder of a “head and shoulder” topping formation.
If CHK fails to re-assert itself here (and lawd knows the H&S formation is certainly unreliable, so let’s “wait and see”), then I think natty is going to have a hard time in the near term, ovah heah.

May 30th, 2008 at 11:10 amI’m telling you, car-makers are going to be money in the future.
This is perspicacious (better than your UBS dream).
Out here in “flyover country,” you can’t drive down the highway without seeing twelve or thirteen white Ford “Edges.”
Allegedly, this car is going to save Ford from it’s egregious slavishness to the almighty gasaholic SUV.
If they release it in hybrid form, it just may.

May 30th, 2008 at 11:15 ami am very pleased by the markets indecision in the last couple days
cant you feel it?
we havent been seeing scalding chimp days for quite a while
also gone is that “open down fifty, then reverse and end up 100″ pattern that was in place a while back
the tide is turning….
May 30th, 2008 at 11:19 amHey, I love communism.
This would explain your Senatorial slate.
____________
On a slightly more serious note, your Congressman who can’t keep his dick in his pants, he’s really helping out the “team,” ovah heah. Please throw a rotten fruit at him at his next mall opening.
He went to law school at Foaaaad’m, with one of my college roommates. All reports are he was an asshole there, too.
_______
May 30th, 2008 at 11:19 amFly for president!
The rest of you left wing loons are cornfockers.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:23 amWoodshedder,
On Monday when you get headline power, you should put up some valuable lessons you learned as technical analysis trader.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:25 amwood,
congratulations in advance for having headline power come monday.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:27 amChivas,
Lol.
(Don’t bet against this crafty fucker!)
_
May 30th, 2008 at 11:38 amJake,
lol.
i know. just busting his chops.
May 30th, 2008 at 11:44 amWill do guys. Thanks for recognizing talent.
May 30th, 2008 at 12:00 pmChivas,
I’m talking about YOU. You’ve been killing me with this Trannie optimism.
Warranted, it seems.
Just went out to see a guy who can’t make enough gear boxes for one of the big train mfg’s. Apparently, they already have the inventory waiting railside to ship, but not enought freaking trains!

May 30th, 2008 at 12:22 pmJake,
thanks.
