Revenge Will Be Served Cold

Incidentally, “The Fly” was sheltered from today’s inane melt up, via long SRS, short VNO, short KIM positions. My losses totaled less than 1%, mostly due to the run up in XOM and run down in DUG.

Also, my early purchases proved to be fruitful, as gains in BAC, TBT, C, ITW, VCLK, PFE and FAS extended throughout the day.

Life is all about killing the next guy. With that in mind, let me remind you that “The Fly” will eventually discard of you too, while chuckling at your most eventful capital losses.

Most people only remember the questions, without regard for the answers. I, on the other hand, remember both questions and answers, with the efficiency and acumen of an IBM super computer.

The idea that the “rally is just starting” is somewhat silly, considering how far we’ve come so soon. What is not silly is the mortuary state of the U.S. economy.

You can sit there all you want, collecting block headed Barack Obama collectible coins, while circle jerking to the likes of Dennis Kneale. However, “The Fly” will always be around to drop anvils and gay pianos on your head, when least expected.

With that being said, bear in mind, “The Fly” wins all the time, even when he appears to be losing badly. My condition is one of perpetual success. My unremitting winning streaks are rarely interrupted for a period longer than 2 weeks. Hence, I warn you; with the seriousness of a stone cold killer inside, lurking, in the dressing room of Jim Cramer, don’t fuck with me—for sometime soon you will feel the sharp blade of “brick walled revenge”—effectively leaving your bullshit portfolios in a very bad/egregious “zeroed out” situation.

NOTE: One of my internet friends, Phil Pearlman, just started blogging. He’s a smart guy, who likes to collect Barack Obama coins and SHAM-WOW rags. Definitely worth blogrolling.

UPDATE: For my Southern brothers!

The last 3-4 trading days have been the works of kids messing around before the parents come home Monday. Nearly every good stock is banging up against the top of its price channel. If the price isn’t channeling, its parabolic (look at the green shit today). R2 won’t match the daily VWAP for long, and the promise of magic Obamma dust will fade. Plainly stated, this is dumb money action.

The south is full of warrior poets skilled in the arts of the banjo and coercive man love. Highly skilled operators in the political realm, southerners repeatedly vote for the party that sends its own children to their deaths without demanding adequate education or health care in return..

For this, they are much appreciated by the northern elites, who profit handsomely from southern ignorance, not to mention their addictions
    to tobacco and cornholing.

Since many children learn personal responsibility from pet ownership, might I suggest an alligator of rattlesnake?

Well, the unemployment rate in November 2008 was the highest in 14 years so a *drop* that was the biggest in 16 years is not so much good news as kind of cosi-cosa news.

    GNE said…
    Cuervos,

[snip] As I’ve analyzed this a bit more what has been happening through most of December is a significant drop in NEW claims for unemployment each week. That doesn’t mean that claims are not still happening, just that the total number that are filing each week is declining. This past week was the largest decline in 16 years.

When you look at the unemployment chart in this post:
    http://mast-economy.blogspot.com/2008/12/new-years-week-safe-harbor-statement.html

You’ll see an inflection point in the actual rate of unemployment, and this week’s reported drop in initial claims is a very positive indicator that unemployment will begin to drop again very soon.

    Cuervos,

Any your point is? and dr. housing bubble?

No matter how you look at the numbers they were significantly worse then. (ask anyone who lived thru it) No matter how you look at the charts now, the employment conditions are improving…
    http://mast-economy.blogspot.com/2009/01/unemployment-drop-is-largest-in-16.html

As is the housing market. One in five major metropolitan areas are right now experiencing a *rise* in the value of their homes.
    http://mast-economy.blogspot.com/2008/12/what-went-down-must-come-up.html

Worse case this current dip may look like 1974. But have a look at bullish 1975 charts for an indication of what might happen in 2009.

    http://mast-economy.blogspot.com/2009/01/1974-and-2008-graphs-that-lie-or-do.html

So this talk of great depression and bubbles and all that, may sell newspapers and web traffic, but the numbers and history don’t support the comparison… Not even close

So I agree there is no apples to apples comparison… there never is… and even when there are two apples, when you look closely one is rotten.

I guess you missed the first paragraph from the NAR report:
Four out of five metropolitan areas recorded lower home prices in the third quarter from a year earlier, while existing-home sales fell in 32 states from the second quarter, according to the latest quarterly survey by the National Association of Realtors®.

or this one later in the report:

Distressed sales – foreclosures and short sales – accounted for 35 to 40 percent of transactions in the third quarter, pulling down the national median existing single-family price to $200,500, which is 9.0 percent lower than the third quarter of 2007

When I saw that the NAR was using data from Fannie Mac I stopped reading as all validity had just flown out the window.

Common sense wills out the notion that a sales person would never tell you that their business is bad. It hurts their bargaining position.

    re: your unemployment figures:
I followed your data link regarding where the jobs were being added (http://positiveeconomicnews.com/2008/12/27/where-jobs-are-being-added/) and found this gem:

the states of Wyoming, Oklahoma, North & South Dakota, Alaska and Texas have ADDED over 259,000 jobs

Now let’s see the CIA factbook on the US (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/print/us.html) lists this fact:

Labor force: 153.1 million (includes unemployed) (2007 est.)

So, that means that an increase in five relatively unpopulated states and one large one (TX of course) of 259,000 is about 0.1691% of a difference.

I realise you marketing dudes need to “keep things positive” but don’t accuse others of distorting facts when you take random bits of information and parade that as “research”.

Poor palestinian fuckers is all I can say. No one who has any power in this world really cares about them.

Looks like Israel takes Gaza. Eliminates (or significantly neutralizes Hamas). One could argue this operation significantly lessens one element of uncertainty in the region for the market.

On the other hand, ground operations rarely go as planned.

Never had a manicure, never whitened my teeth, never saw a polo pony (have played a good game of tennis, tried to walk on at UF), know how to shoot when I have to, like the Deep South (people are basically very friendly), and love to BBQ. My work dress is a pair of shorts and a golf shirt. Socks are optional depending on the weather (work out of my house).
Oh yeah, I know what to do with art and antiques. Buy them and sell them for a profit.

I’m just worried that Hamas had planned for this and has a nasty surprise waiting as they have had a free hand smuggling in weapons for a long time. Israel may be playing right into their hands. I mean they must of known that if they keep sending rockets to Israel, they would have to send ground troops again.

The funny thing is if you read Bin Ladin’s stuff after 9/11, he predicted that dumb Bush would do something stupid in the Middle East (ie invade a country) in retailiation, bankrupt the USA, and that would further his cause.

Hamas can do nothing against Israel by themselves. They can only bait Israel into a larger scale conflict with Iran, where some powerful nation, like Russia or China, will protect their interests & blow Israel, the fuck, up.

    Not gonna happen in 2009.

The markets won’t care … in fact the energy sector/resources, precious metals will just love it.

Gentlemen I put up TWO pictures this week of myself on this blog. One was linked to my ‘ name’ the other in a link on the post.

Next I am not a damsel in distress…can’t you fella’s understand a little humor?

I use to live in Aspen and Boulder but moved back to Houston after I divorced for several reasons. I have never had much luck with Texas men, although I have plenty of offers all the time, they are not what I am looking for. My ex-husband was born and raised in DC and Virgina with a home in Florida (astrophysicist prof Univ Colo until he got involved with a joint-venture). Before that I lived in Aspen making my own money living in a multi-million dollar home I was renting dating a variety of men from celebrities to entrepreneurs

To each his own, that is what makes up the world. Not all women like red-neck, testosterone driven men nor do I like ‘average joes’ who just slide thru life in their tee-shirts and flip flops nor do I like Prolly types. Houston has a lot of white collar guys that like to play golf, deep sea fish and spend money.

Guess I like more European/Preppy guys with a high degree of sophistication, gentlemanly manners and refined taste.

    To each his own.

I’d like to see you guys post PICS OF YOURSELF….I did

At any rate I am perfectly happy being extremely picky and enjoying my life as it is.

Hey, don’t screw with Lady G. This is from her own bio:

“[She] has had personal physical encounters with Immortals since childhood, some of these are shared in her book. In “The Resurrected Dead Now Immortal Live Among Us; A Manual for Immortality”, the truth is revealed about who we are, what happened to us long ago, and how physical immortality is possible. [She] describes in the book her own physical experiences such as dematerialization and visiting the heavenly realms. Every Immortal followed the same steps and laws that are in this book to achieve their own immortality.”

    Got it. Very interesting.

    ———————————————–

“The author, Jhershierra, was born with several spiritual gifts. She has the ability to travel out-of-body and to be lucid or conscious in the dream worlds. These abilities have given her access to the heavenly realms and the opportunity to be an active participant in those realms.

She has been visited IN THE PHYSICAL by Jesus, Immortals, Ascended Masters, Extraterrestrials, and other Spiritual Beings since childhood.

Jhershierra uses the Sacred Fire to do healings, exorcisms, energy realignments and Sacred Fire activations to name a few. This is the same Fire that was given to the disciples by Jesus.

In the 1980s after being in the healthcare field, Jhershierra left to pursue a more spiritual path. In Texas, she co-owned a newspaper called Insights for Positive Living and a bookstore/center called The Souls Journey”. She taught classes on various spiritual topics including immortality at the center for five years.

In the 1990s, Jhershierra moved to Colorado. She continued to teach classes in the U.S. and in Europe on ascension and immortality

In the late 1990s Jhershierra took a sabbatical from public teaching to pursue organic gardening and further development of the Sacred Fire. (The Sacred Fire cleanses and purifies a persons addictions and negative qualities, as well as heals.)

Currently Jhershierra lives in Texas where she teaches the path to immortality and discusses her personal encounters with Immortal Beings.”

All right guys the cat is out of the bag thanks to the asshole Zen Profit who by the way knows nothing about zen or has any ability to be a profit. His only claim to fame is invading people’s privacy and then exposing them to risky situations.

I had a website (PR5) with a message board, blog, and an international school which taught the 7 levels of human evolution that is currently developing on the planet. IE..tribal, mass, individual, aspirant, disciple, initiate, master levels.

I do have another business involved in transportation.

I retired the website, school, book (except I left a controlled version) of the book out there…which I plan to remove this year. I had 100’s of emails weekly from crazy newagers, insane messiah types… I had many stalkers…the FBI had to get involved and I had to sell my home…believe it or not. The message I was trying to share cannot be done via any ‘ crazy new age’ group. I had just as many Christians and rational atheist visiting my site. I have a reputation for ‘ dislike of all newagers’. I am approaching this topic from personal experiences and a rational approach to the possibility of human evolution and potential.

Most newagers actually hate me and my book. I am too conservative and rational for them. They see everything in shades of gray, no right no wrong, they live in hippieville, sitting around meditating all day while living off of their friends. People like ZenProfit types who live in cabins in the backwoods of hicksville studying and reading everything but never actually accomplishing anything.

I have lectured and traveled all over the world and mostly it was too a ‘newagey’ kind of crowd, but I have had members of parliament, bankers, CEOS’ and many normal types attend my classes and workshops.

Unfortunately I really dont ‘fit’ anywhere or perhaps fit better with purely rational minds ie…Kiersey profile ” mastermind”. I will glady discuss the meaning of life with anyone especially rational scientific minds …believe it or not…they are open to ‘possibilities’ and are not as narrow-minded as some think. They want to ‘prove’ verses just ‘believe’ and when all is said and done…. I dont write about, or teach ANYTHING I havent proved first hand from my own personal experience.

Now, I have no plans to share any of my teachings on this blog. My goal here is to discuss current events, the stock market and learn as much as possible from everyone here. My wisdom would be wasted …on ears who do not care to listen. So I will not be sharing any of my pearls.

LadyG – I don’t think anyone invaded your privacy. You’re a published author on Amazon with a bio on several sites, for cryin’ out loud. This is the way of the Internet as an information medium, lots can be found out about a person very easily. If you didn’t want to have so much known about yourself, please consider talking less about yourself because you yourself told us many things about you.

If you put a lot of information about yourself on the Internet, somewhere somehow it gets saved in a cache or is published somewhere, it’s not realistic to expect otherwise. I realize you need to be on the Internet in order to sell your book, I need to be on the Internet to sell things for my livelihood. I work to protect my privacy and my family’s privacy, thus no photo here. Anyway, I believe you’ll figure out a balance somewhere between work, stocks, and privacy that works for you.

Good luck to you, I mean that sincerely.

Zen recognized my pic thats how he did it. He dabbles in all things NEW AGE…

I have been very careful not to leave any reference to my name here. ZEN is a NEW AGER and thats how he knew it. I know who you are Zen. I would appreciate it if you would NOT use my name here or anywhere else or anyone post… pretending to be me. I believe there are rules even here on this blog about using real people’s names/nicks and pretending to be them.

I realize Z Profit you may have no scruples and you dont care that people can get hurt from your actions. If you had been what I have been thru you would understand about privacy. You have my disdain for life.

boca and woodshedder I am OFF the internet. I use to have upwards of 38,000 sites attached to my name in links or whatever. It takes a while to get rid of everything and obligations I have… I use an alias becus when I used my real name on other stock blogs or message boards…ZEN PROFIT and his kind would start emailing me on those message boards and I had no privacy. Example: Zenprofit asking me to post some “predictions for the stock market” a few days ago. Which I already did post by the way.

Some people look for people’s ‘names’ regularly on google to see where they are posting and follow them there to try and contact them. I guess its hard to understand unless you have had some public exposure and had to deal with a lot of trouble.

I do wish to stay anonymous on this site and work on becoming a better trader. If I have to I will change my name to some ‘ man’s name’ instead.

A public Thank You to boca, woody, contractor and others.

I was out cleaning the cesspool tank under my double-wide for the last 2 hours and I returned to find a hornet’s nest of posts referring to me.

It just surprised me that all of the “Immortals, Ascended Masters, Extraterrestrials, and other Spiritual Beings” with whom “Jhershierra” has had personal meetings failed to explain to her how these internets work.

It actually took me less than 5 minutes to identify her, but, if you read the posts carefully, she is the one who outed herself. Who told her to acknowledge that the person in the photo was the poster?

Had I wanted to invade her privacy I would have posted her real name, address and telephone number. But I am too much of a gentleman to do that.

Have we heard the last from her? Stay tuned. It’s a good thing Mr. Fly wasn’t around for this nonsense today.

Besides being an ass you are a liar. You posted LG’s real name immediately after recognizing the photo she did in order to learn how to ‘create a link’. You couldn’t resists being a ‘ know it all’. You then posted the title of LG’s book which also has her photo on it and so once again exposed her. She is not a liar and therefore admitted to the book being hers…since anyone searching on the book title you gave would see the picture she had posted here.

You interjected yourself into a conversation about north and south with a post that had nothing to do with the topic so that you could once again ‘ appear to be knowledgeable’ so that your ego could revel in the glory you would receive from your peers for having ‘ exposed someone’ during a discussion not related to your actions. Your ego was of course very gratified thinking how well you knew ‘ your peers’ and that they would surely ridicule LG’s spiritual nature. Now you are strutting your stuff like a proud peacock believing all your ‘friends’ now think you are so clever.

Your Zen Master says ” Stop spending 12 hours a day chatting on internet blogs, chat rooms, message boards and instead get back to meditating on ‘ THE ZEN KOANS’ which requires at least 7 hours a day.
