Forget about my little SRS/FAZ buys. They are mere insurance policies, in the event things go awry. I am heavily long here, in a variety of shit stocks, so that I may endeavor to “outstrip” many of you—for it is my rightful duty to do so.
As you know, by now, it’s hilarious that people are still betting for a decline. We have ourselves a full fledged rout of the bears and I must say: it’s damnasticly fun, beating them to a pulp.
My current longs include: [[GNK]], [[RFMD]], [[CIEN]], [[AMKR]], [[STAR]], [[LDK]], [[CROX]], [[ODP]], [[OVTI]], [[CECO]], [[CRR]] and [[TER]].
I sold out of [[SCO]], [[FEED]] and covered my [[ACC]] short (near the day low). At the present, my hedges include FXP, FAZ and SRS. However, they are minute in size and girth.
I am 85% long, 5% cash and 10% short. So, the daily moves in any of my existing inverse etf’s are entirely acceptable, providing my longs are doing their respective jobs.
For the day, I was up another 2.5%, thanks in large part to RFMD.
For the record, The “Senators of The PPT“ shall pass judgment and decide the fate of what you will read, with regards to who will become the next tabbed blogger and how it shall affect your lives. They will impose their will, if I might be so bold. However, I will permit you, the unwashed, to execute all but the final two candidates, who vie to become iBankcoin’s next tabbed blogger. Once we are left with the survivors, “The Distinguished Gentlemen of The PPT” shall cast their ballots, expressing their God given democratic rights, all thanks and praise to the Godly folks at iBankcoin, of course. Voted, hopefully there will be some new type of execution this round. Hanging is fun but there are so many of us a mob stoning could work well.

GOOG will be interesting, if i had to guess, i’d bet their revs don’t blow away earnings, and marginally beat by keeping costs under control.
reason being that they seemed a little too obsessive this quarter in lowering costs, which means they were fucking around because their revenues weren’t spectacular (e.g. layoffs, and shutdown of company perks). that just screams that they’re freaking out on meeting expectations. if it was a real blowout, they would never ever do any layoffs of employees. GOOG culture seems to pride itself on not pulling that kind of shit.

It is a bear market rally however I don’t think it’s going to end that soon. The market has to be long term bullish for the bear to re-instate itself.

Asia markets are always a little nutty but this knee jerk reaction to China GDP is unrealistic. Six percent growth (although it is not a real number) is way better than can be expected. Maybe it is just sell on the news.
Tomorrow is 60 days from the last BIG up candle on the VIX on 1/20/09. The VIX gapped down from there. Gaps get filled. 60 days is a very strong cycle period. Trend and/or direction(correction) changes frequently happen. I think we head down pretty hard into Friday. My bet is C sucks on their Friday BMO EPS and the market sells off to the S&P strike at 80. Tomorrow is also 28 days from the S&P lows on 1/9. Tomorrow is also the 16th. Anyone know the significance of the numbers 4, 7, 8, 14, 16, 28 and 60 hitting on the same day? I’m ready. Are you?
