Well I am finally back from the “Left Coast” and wow was that an eye opening experience. Just a couple of notes on trends I saw before I get back to the Lakers game (they are the only team playing tonight). First, California has become a land of fucking hybrid homos. Now I don’t mean hybrids as much as I mean you are treated like the “Messiah” if you drive a so called “Clean Energy” car. These fuckers have stickers all over their cars that say clean energy yada yada bullshit all day. But there lies the key, that sticker allows you to fucking park your car at the front door of any business, even in front of the handicaps, drive in the fucking carpool lane even if your by yourself and you can even talk on the cell phone while driving. Ok so maybe not the last one but my point is this, they are rewarding the fucking out of people by allowing them to be lazy Americans if they buy so called “Clean Energy” cars. Well in my opinion the only clean energy is Natural Gas and this is where I am going to make my bets. Why nat gas when hybrids run on dirty greasy oil? Because there are fucking natural gas filling stations all over the Bay area. I have never seen so many nat gas filling stations that are currently being used by buses. Its only a matter of time until these stations are at every gasoline station and I think they will change the way we look at “clean energy”. Right now Natty is cheap as fuck and cannot really go much lower unless you give the shit away. While I am very long and have been long oil (even when Fly made fun of me talking his deflation shit) I am going to get mega long Nat Gas on all pullbacks under $14 in UNG. I will also continue to stay and get longer WPRT, so far I have milked this fucker thanks to ottnott for a 2+ dollar move. Its completely on fucking fire. Do yourself a favor and buy some UNG here and tuck it away.
One more thing, I hereby declare that annoyance last year which some call a “depression” 100% over. We will soon but out to new 52 week highs on the S&P before October. I am looking for somewhere around 1150 – 1300 on the S&P.

Here what I think.
The market was totally shocked with the payroll count. The number has caused a rethink in global relativities in the sense that the US could really get out faster than Euro-trashland and Japan. The market was very short US dollar across the board and this caused a quick panic out of foreign currencies and back into the USD. Gold took a whacking because of the Dollar started to gain ground in the FX markets.
The stock market saw that and began to retreat.
The only thing is that the stock market could actually do better with a strongish dollar perhaps. That’s the big question.

M, i don’t think it’s a stab at the inflation play so much as it’s a recognition that the US gets out of the quagmire faster relative to others.
The US doesn’t get out of this any faster than anyone else. This is a problem that does not get resolved without a massive world war. That doesn’t matter right now though, make money by playing the hyper-inflation trade which has not materialized fully just yet. There will be blips along the way, when it looks as though the hypothesis doesn’t work, but frankly, there is no way around it.
