Economic stimulus checks are being sent out to masses of the unwashed as well as the washed who follow this blog. Unfortunately, the government in their wisdom has chosen not to include me in their “scheme” to bolster our anemic economy. Their policy is that I must lose money (i.e., buy bank stocks) to qualify for a check. No thank you.
As many have surmised, Joey-Bag-O-Donuts will probably use his check to pay down credit card debt, or use it to buy gasoline for the summer vacation to Dollywood. Much to the chagrin of (BBY: 44.34 +0.20%), no flat screen TV’s will end up in the family room.
However, this whole idea of “economic stimulus” may be a weak attempt to provide liquidity to the banks and credit card companies like (COF: 41.22 -0.17%), (BAC: 29.04 -0.85%) and (C: 17.47 -0.11%), etc, using the middle class. Egregious.
Joey Bag-o-Donuts and his wife are using the stimulus check proceeds to buy, buy, buy junque on Ebay and Amazon. Of course, I will take as much of their money as I can, transmitting my high quality junque from my house to theirs.

April 29th, 2008 at 12:22 pmWe’re selling quite a few books, some CD’s and DVD’s, some jewelry/clothes, blah blah, anything decorative or fashionable that’s not locked down, my husband sells computer stuff … I need to get some more impulse type stuff listed as soon as possible for Mr and Mrs Bag-o-Donuts. I’ve given up selling anything high-end or valuable until the economy gets better, that market is dead right now.

April 29th, 2008 at 1:09 pmhahaha I know nothing about Nascar so I avoid it. Right now I’m on the lookout for various anime/manga stuff, strange looking jewelry I’ve seen in Vogue, junque from the 1950’s, on and on.
