I figured I should start off my 2nd term as King of the PG similar to the 1st, with an introductory post. However, this time, it gets to serve double duty…as in, should I win Tuesday’s grand elections, this is what my permanent tab would be all about as well.
So…what can you expect?
- Daily summary posts. Level of detail usually depends on mood/time…
- Ideas/watchlists, usually for the next day. Usually just a list of names/tickers, but charts do make an appearance fairly often. Often contains links to other bloggers’ ideas.
- Details of strategies that I use. For example, I still owe Woodshedder my ‘anatomy of a strangle/straddle trade’ post. (It’s coming…like Dr. Dre’s next album.)
- Whatever else that may come to mind. General interests include music, movies, sports, and I’m getting back into reading (just started on Blindness).
My trading style is based on a fairly strict set of rules that play well with the amount of risk with which I’m comfortable. I trade options and options alone. Most of my trades are based on short-term technicals, but the earnings strangle/straddle is a guilty pleasure that I usually find hard to pass by. I tend to hold positions for 4-5 days, but usually sell at the first signs of weakness.
In any case…I’m sure I could write several thousand words more on this, but as Lord Jeremy proclaimed, it’s good to keep things short, simple, and to the point.
So, come on by, (at least) every once in a while. You may like what you find.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I might actually root for Chelsea in Moscow. My first choice would be for both teams to be disqualified, though.
Can’t believe we’re up against bastard Man U. in both the league and the Champions Cup.
I’m ok with losing the league (which seems inevitable) as long as we win Europe. But if we lose both…well, I’m not so sure I could handle that…

Why? I have yet to hear a soccer hater give me one good reason why “soccer sucks” or why they even care to so openly hate on something that the majority of the world likes.
I would be highly surprised to read a well-structured & reasonable argument as to why “soccer sucks”. (And that’s nothing personal against Jake…same goes for all other knee-jerk soccer haters.)
A more likely response will be something along the lines of soccer is unamerican/commie/evil, therefore I must hate it without understanding it.
I hear you Gunners, I can’t explain why I dislike soccer so much. Never did like it, I can’t sit through a game. Not a knock on soccer lovers, just a sport I don’t enjoy…
However, hating the Sox and Yankees I can explain. As a Jays fan it is a pre-req. I realize that there is an on-slaught of bad karma coming my way…
Trully, soccer is commie and evil, but it sucks because it’s as boring as watching paint dry.
