After the localised confusion in some corners about my last post I have opted for a separate strategy in regards to my equity screener report. Instead of reporting what I feel is the best purchase price I will give the best price range near the closing price.

This will prevent any accusations of using ahgregious figurings.

Anyways on the picks

As a geek with a sense of history, I find my self very happy to report that the first and strongest recommendation from my screener is [[ZILG]] which seems to be experiencing a big bounce from it’s announcement of a product to allow one to control their house appliances via their iPhone or Crackberries. $2.8-$3 is a good buy in if you believe the press with a target range of about double.

Next up, despite the doom and gloom the retailers have been crying in the marketplaces, [[WTSLA]] is showing strength based on the fact that their numbers weren’t as bad as was predicted. Not sure why that is causing the stock to bound back up from a 52 week low of $1.99 but there you have it. Suggested purchase range is $5-5.10 with a target of $9.

Commodities

If anyone has been paying attention Canadian markets, they would have surely noted that there has been a massive sell off in the last week or so. The general consensus north of the 49 seems to be that the commodity market is headed for a significant correction. Oil and Gold stocks are prominent drivers of the TSX so a word is being given to commodity bears.

I noticed Gary over at Smart Money believes that the oil stocks are going to experience a ‘parabolic breakdown‘ and sense he can take trading direction from the COT report (and it still is way too obtuse for me) I’ll pass along his warning as well.

Disclaimer

Do your own freakin’ homework! I make my suggestions based on my screener which is put together with toothpicks and bubble gum. If I was good at this I’d not be going to work every morning after making these posts. Investing based on my entertainment information can be very detrimental to your bank book.
