CHK looks good for a tradeby NakedTrader on August 6th, 2008 at 1:08 pm |
CHK is bumping up againt the 200dma….might be good for a short here with a stop over the 200 at around 47.16. Low risk. IMHO I am short at 46.38

I’d rather short XOM.

August 6th, 2008 at 3:09 pmor BP…
August 6th, 2008 at 3:10 pmI’ll take the opposite bet. Today we saw institutional buying - 20,000 Oct $50 calls and 20,000 Oct $60 calls. CHK’s CEO has also been buying hand over fist.
August 6th, 2008 at 3:44 pmI’m just looking for a short term rejection at the dma…maybe 1-3 days. Longer term is a different story. If I’m wrong I’ll take the small loss. Pretty good R/R I think.
August 6th, 2008 at 3:57 pmWe just bounced off the Golden Ratio, dude.
You are effing with Signor Fibonacci, ovah heah.
He can “make it look like an accident,” you know.

This is sure to make the IBC dictionary.

August 6th, 2008 at 4:02 pmBluedog, just checked out your blog.
Loved almost everything I saw there, save your support for the socialist.
Or I should say “the bigger socialist.” Heh.
I can see dumb people falling for this “all things to everybody” Messiah shit, but what’s your excuse, man?
August 6th, 2008 at 4:50 pmor BAYRY…
August 6th, 2008 at 6:03 pm@ BD: All those CHK calls could just be hedges for shorts. Ya never know…
But, CHK does look good, imo; had it on my list today and missed buying it at the open (along with CLF).
August 6th, 2008 at 6:10 pmor OXY…
August 6th, 2008 at 6:23 pmya, well looks like APA and DVN could bounce nicely along with CHK.
August 6th, 2008 at 10:07 pmJake,
Thanks! I might give McCain greater thought once he learns to use email. Can you say… old?!! Seriously, I like where Obama is going with alternative energy, infrastructure, the war, etc. Time to rein things in.
DPeezy,
That’s true, but 40K is a pretty BIG lot size for a hedge. I initially was going to hold off on buying CHK until $35-40 range, but I had to take some here. I plan to add if it drops.

August 6th, 2008 at 10:14 pmBluedog,
You have just been identified as gay. Obama wants to rape my coin purse for his “alternative energy” bullshit. If it doesn’t fly in the free market, it’s gay. Also, infrastructure is gay. This includes roads, bridges, stop signs, and fat people…
August 6th, 2008 at 10:21 pmBluedog — you are in the market, so I wonder if you understand the concept of valuation discounts?
Like how much an increase in taxation to capital impacts market valuations, things like that.
Because that’s the stuff Obama either:
1) knows nothing about
2) chooses to willfully ignore, despite the math
Given the choice between a candidate who intentionally destroys our economy or one who is not e-mail proficient, I think I’d have a inkling about which way I might be “leaning.”

August 6th, 2008 at 10:43 pmHey Jake,
Did you hear Austan Foolsbee on Squawk a few mornings ago? How is it that an individual with his education can turn out to be such a dickslap. I don’t think he even believe the drivel spilling from his cakehole. I fucking hate mouthpieces like him. I’m short Foolsbee.
August 6th, 2008 at 10:48 pmJunk,
I don’t watch much of the “teevee.” It, too, unfortunatley “is for dumb people.”
So solly.

August 6th, 2008 at 11:22 pmJunk/Danny:
George Will doesn’t seem to mind him TOO much.

August 6th, 2008 at 11:28 pmWhat the fuck?
“But he seems to be the sort of person — amiable, empirical and reasonable — you would want at the elbow of a Democratic president, if such there must be.”
Foolsbee? He’s an asshat on a stick.
