From the Lighthouse… “The End”by Green Writer on September 2nd, 2008 at 10:43 am |
This morning I battled a monster stripe bass…tonight he will be caked in salt and baked to perfection.
If you can, always vacation when jon q public has to be back to work….it makes for a more personal time away from the office! No traffic, no reservations, just to be a free bird!
I have come back for some mid morning breakfast and to see what the market was up too.
I had a feeling the market would rally after seeing Gustav turn into a tropical storm.
At any rate, EJ is yielding me free stock today. Also my buy in EFUT is turning out great. I did not get the dream print of $9 and change, but $10.87 will do…
Showing up on the radar this morning is COGO…A break above $5.69 is a breakout on the 20 day chart.
This company has a great evaluation and decent cash on hand….Don’t just take my word for it:

How do you cook the bass? Bake or grill it?
September 2nd, 2008 at 11:23 amHippy, WTF? Do you stay on vacation all summer?
You are the Fl-opposite.*

JakeGint,
Yeah my goal is 6 weeks every year. If there is no volatility it is a week here, a long weekend there, and then a nice 4 weeker.
September 3rd, 2008 at 10:15 amWith the recent volatility I have been the FLY (workaholic) until August…caught enough blues this morning to feed a small 3rd world village.

September 3rd, 2008 at 10:17 amYeah I bake ‘em….My favorite though is a thin steak seared on high heat with a little sesame oil and soy suace. Off on a chartered boat later today to do some night fishing….
Peace
Blues are an acquired taste.
September 3rd, 2008 at 11:43 amI used to go fishing with the kids when they were younger. Favorite spot was at Sanibel Island and we would catch a ton of sheepshead, sea trout and an occasional snapper (mangrove).
September 3rd, 2008 at 3:50 pmMy best fishing story- I cast my line from underneath a causeway (water was too rough for the boat) and I laid my line down to head over to the bushes for a “break”. I came back and the whole damn thing was gone. Well, I went to get another pole and I cast it in the water. About twenty minutes later I pulled in a fish and the fish had the hook in its mouth from the pole that got lost. So I got my fish and retrieved the lost pole at the same time.
TraderCaddy:
Even if that wasn’t a true story, you got an approval point from me for creativity.

That sure is a great fish tale.

September 4th, 2008 at 12:28 amI hate ‘em! I prefer the babies….snappers are great under 12 inches…no oil…
As for blues; on the party boats I will take only the cheeks.
GW,
how do you cake the fish in salt? what kind of salt? baked covered or uncovered? tempature and time in oven?
