April 6th, 2008 at 11:30 pmRagin, care to speculate on the US finding more coin? Suppose the US gov. would say: ok we are in a national crisis, maybe even international in scope. To help solve the problems with liquidity, sub -prime stuff, inflation, jobs, financial system, etc. we, the US gov. are going to have an emergency 6-12 month build-out program whereby the huge amount of oil we know exists in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and off the California coast will be extracted, pipelined and processed, making the US self sufficient and even a net exporter of oil. Do you think this scenario could-would work to get everybody off the hook?
